I have sinned a lot. Please pray for me to give up the sins that I keep falling into and to be happy once I have overcome them. Thank you

Hello N,
I just prayed for you; prayed that you will make the right decisions in life and that you will turn away from your sinful activities. I know that you believe in God and that is why you are asking for prayer – you can feel that the Holy Spirit is being grieved whenever you sin. Acknowledging that you are a sinner and that you have sinned is the first step towards healing. The second step is trusting and allowing the leading of the Holy Spirit to guide you away from it.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) says:
13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
When we are tempted (which will eventually lead to sin), there is a way out. It may not be a clear easy way to see but basically doing the opposite to what you know is wrong is the way out (e.g. should i watch pornography? open the browser go to the site (way in), get away from computer-phone (way out).
And when you sin, it is not the end of the world. our God is a Gracious and Forgiving God. He will forgive us if we go to Him and confess our sins and asks His forgiveness.
1 John 1:9 (NIV) it says: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Like you my friend, I also struggle from sinning, but I know that despite how dirty I am and how scarred I am from sin, my God has died for me and has redeemed me when He gave His life on the Cross for my sin, for your sin, for sins of those who believe in Him.
Do not succumb to the thought that you are a loser, that you are hopeless, that you are a disappointment in God’s eyes – this is what the enemy wants you to think so that you cut your relationship and hide from God (like Adam and Eve when they sinned in the garden of Eden). We are not perfect, we are all sinners and will continue to sin. Only Jesus Christ is perfect and without sin.
But we can keep going back to God out of reverence and love for Him. Since we are His followers, we are to live in righteousness, to live a life trying our best to be blameless. We do our best and we always rely on God’s grace, the guidance and discernment of the Holy Spirit, and from the love of Jesus, we look forward to be with Him in Heaven.
So rejoice. Live a victorious life. Christ is the victory. He already defeated Satan and as a result we have overcome the world (sins of this world). Always pray for guidance every day. Start and end your day with a prayer, walk with Him daily and you will live a life of freedom. Free from the bondage of sin and free from Satan’s deceit
