I am struggling to believe in God. Though I became a Christian 20 years ago I’ve just started to have too much anxiety going on. I need to look for another job but feel worried cause of past failures and people constantly remind me of them.

Dear Child of God, I stand with you in your prayers and know that the faith within you will not go out as the Lord has promised to not quench the flame. I pray that the Holy Spirit will fan into flame the faith within you and that as you seek His face He will draw you to His side. You are called by name and chosen by Him to fulfil the good works that He has planned for you before time began. Lord, I lift R to You and pray that R’s faith will be strengthened. I pray that You will keep him from evil and protect him from the fiery darts of the enemy. May R be fully clothed in Your righteousness and Your mighty armour. May R be assured of Your love and plan for R’s life. You tell us that Your children can sleep in peace because they trust in You. As R sleeps I pray R will hear the song that You sing over the sleeping saint. May R wake refreshed and ready to cast all cares upon You. Let R see You doing a new thing in R’s life. Make a way through this valley for R – a road through this dry wilderness that R May return to You rejoicing. Place Your hand upon R’s head and establish Your throne in R’s life that this child of Yours may be fully assured of Your love for R. May R seek Your kingdom and righteousness so that Your blessings may fall in abundance. Amen.

When I am anxious, I find it very difficult for me to be worry when I am praying 🙏

Hi Brother, you’re not alone in this. I had the same experiences with so many failures in my life, and I’m now an active 73 year old in spite of them. Someone told me some years ago that “every failure is an opportunity for Jesus” and that’s true. Fortunately He knows our needs and He will lead you to the right job for you so hang in and re-read Jeremiah 29 verse 11 and 12. Blessings to you.
