Guidance
Added 1 year ago
I worked for years in a retail support office. In May last year, I left and became a healthcare worker in a rest home. I enjoy the work but have taken a drop in hours (60 instead of 80) so am struggling financially. My ‘dream’ is to one day own/run a retreat-type place for the elderly, people with dementia, and their caregivers. It is something God put on my heart years ago, but I feel like I am overwhelmed. Thank you for your prayer support. Lynne.

Our Father, we thank you for L who has heart to serve others. Bless her with abundant life and overflowing joy even as you provide for her needs and sustenance. . Thank you Jesus, Amen.
L, Continue to trust God and rlet us remember this verse:
You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich.

Dear Lynne, were you able to get a clear confirmation from the Lord that the rest home that you chose to work in is actually the one that He wanted you in?
If yes, then confidently persevere, but actively seek His guidance (if you have a ‘spiritual language’ then use it as often as possible), and thank Him for His faithfulness.
If no, then it’s not too late to correct the situation.
But first it would be necessary to ask His forgiveness for not consulting Him about this critical decision.
Receive His forgiveness then tell the Lord that you will always ask Him for His guidance in future.
Then ask Him if He wants you to stay where you are or move, and if so, where.
If you get an answer always ask for confirmation (a sign), – and ask for at least one more, to confirm.
Your current position will not have been a waste (quite the opposite!).
Talk with Him Lynne, your destiny awaits you.

Lynn, God often gives us dreams that are way too big for us, because if they were a good fit with our abilities, we wouldn’t need him. A.W. Tozer once said, “God is looking for those with whom He can do the impossible – what a pity that we plan only the things that we can do by ourselves.”. Don’t be overwhelmed, be excited. Berni@CW
