Loneliness in a dying marriage
Added 4 years ago
Please pray for strength and comfort as I try to continue to show love to a man who doesn’t reciprocate. We’ve been married for 26 yrs. It seems he’s been slipping away for the last 10, & I don’t know how to fix it. He’s just constantly annoyed & irritated with me. & no matter what I say or do (or don’t say or do!), it’s always wrong & he pushes further away. I try to stay in the Word & stay near God, but I’m so hurt & so lonely. We can be in the same room, the same car, & even in the same bed & he still feels a million miles away. I continue to pray for restoration of a marriage that was once very fulfilling!
The upside is he has been going to church with me the last few weeks after years. So I know God is at work! I just need the perserverance to endure & see his work to fruition. Because quite honestly, some days the pain & the distance are so bad I want to give up & walk out. But I know that’s not what God wants. Lord, give me strength!

I am married and my encouragement to you is not to ever give up, God says that what He has put together no one can separate even ourselves:- trust in God’s response to your prayers and remember that He promised to never leave nor forsake you. Another thing is to always confess the Word of God that brings comfort to our hearts in those trying moments. He encouraged, because there is power in a praying Woman/Wife
Restoration is your portion in Jesus Name

I have been married for 25 years and going through an unspeakable crisis so I encourage you to stay steadfast in your faith and your relationship with GOD. You alone will not be able to reach your husband its your relationship with God that will
allow Him to work on your husband. No doubt God is at work and so wonderful to hear your husband is attending church.

I have never been married, however, I too long to be. Please be encouraged and continue to trust God as he works things out for your good. I pray for healing, and restoration in your marriage in the name of Jesus. And I also pray that God does a new thing in the both of you.
