Lord, We’ve Suffered Enough…

My Father, I come to You with a heavy heart and tears flowing freely. My family is hurt in pain, divided – there is a lot of love – this I know 100% as they have all told me, but the past lingers. I pray for forgiving hearts filled with love. For mutual respect and for my husband to let the kids see his emotions, for him to let them see his pain and not just a brave face. As parents, we tried our best to do what we thought was right at the time and protect them, but a child’s mental health nearly caused their death. Years of drama, but with love and support, we made it. They are healthy, contributing members of society. Lord, please let them see the love their dad has for them. We have all suffered enough, and this needs to end. They love each other, and it’s time to accept, forgive and reconcile. He is not healthy and stubborn (as they are too). God, please, as a wife and mum, I am hurting, but I know Your love for us does not end. You can fix this and let love win before it is too late. Please Father, please – Amen.

The only sort of prayer the Bible teaches about is the sort that has powerful results!
