I have been praying and longing for the last couple of weeks for the spiritual gift in 1 Corinthians 12:10 of interpretation of tongues. I don’t know why I have such a desire as I feel content with everything. It first appeared a couple of weeks ago at our Saturday morning prayer meeting and I have been praying the same since. I am currently preparing to pray and fast next week.
Please do help and pray with me.

Dear Child of God, I stand with you in your prayers and thank God for Your heart search for the gifts of the Spirit. Lord, thank You for W and the desire in W’s heart to have the gift of interpretation. We read in Your Word that we need to eagerly search for our gifting I pray that W will receive this gift as a mighty blessing from You and that the Church will be edified through the interpretations that W brings. I pray that W will be strengthened by the Holy Spirit and W will use this new gift with confidence. May W learn to hear Your Voice above all others. Be glorified through W. Thank You for W’s willingness to be Your vessel. Amen.

From my own experience I shall say what I did. As you pray in tongues please remember you’re talking to the Lord so talk at a speed and way you’d talk normally. So, when I started I just went for it, rejoicing in my new gift, singing and eventually talking, Start interpretation by using short sentences of your own speech. Just as you’ve done with tongues, open your mouth and speak. Then progress to other people.
