Not sure what I’m supposed to write here. We got divorced just last June, so not even a year yet. It was due to my infidelity. I am ashamed and angry with myself for hurting the person I love most in this world. I knew the divorce was wrong even before it was finalized. We do have kids, but they’re older – a 23-year-old son and a 21-year-old daughter. I would do anything to get my wife back. I would spend the rest of my life spoiling her in every way to make up for my foolishness.

Dear Child of God, I stand with you in your prayers. Lord Jesus, thank You that You see the intentions of the heart and You see how much D is now regretting his actions. Lord, You see the pain and the hurt that has been caused in this divorce and You alone know how deep the hurt has gone into their lives. I pray that Your Holy Spirit will minister into their pain and begin to heal the hurt. I pray that D will be able to know Your forgiveness and that he will begin to know Your cleansing and healing in his heart. I pray for both of their hearts to be filled with Your love. You came to heal the broken hearted and so I know that You will heal them. Lord, I bring before You every aspect of this divorce and pray that reconciliation and forgiveness can be offered and accepted. I pray also for their children. Lord, may their love for their parents not be tainted. May they meet as a family and feel enabled to offer the love that each of them need. May Your peace overflow into their lives . I pray that D will no longer be under the pointing finger of the enemy but will be under the redeeming, cleansing blood of Jesus. Lift this burden from every member of this family and may they reunite and bring You honour and glory together. There is a long road ahead to forgiveness and love but I know that You will guide their hearts and minds. Guard them and bring them to You. Amen.
