Prayer Needed To Prevent Marriage Breakdown

My wife ‘R’ and I met in April 2004 and married in November 2004. We have three children. ‘L’ was born in September 2009, ‘J’ in June 2013 and ‘B’ born in August 2015. ‘R’ and I are both professing and practising Christians. I have always enjoyed drinking, with a number of occasions being over the top. She has told me that the relationship is now over. I am not blaming anyone, but this has broken down over a long period of time. I can see the devil being very pleased and active. She left on Sunday, 2 March, with the two girls, and my son is staying with me. She has told me that the relationship is over, and she engaged a lawyer a week ago, so it has been planned. I have offered to sit down and talk, but I have stressed that it is a two-way street with both of us to blame. Please pray for the restoration of this relationship and that Jesus and Holy Spirit will change her heart, her mindset and my heart and mindset. Pray for healing in this relationship that brings it back to better.

Dear Lord, lead this couple to the proper Christian resources to help them, heal their trauma and reconnect. If there is substance abuse help him to seek out help. May the entire family seek Christian support. Bless them and help this marriage to survive in Jesus name we pray amen.
