Thank you Lord God that you draw close to your child as they call on you. Thank you Lord that you reveal the meaning of your scripture as they read & hear your word.

May I suggest also starting a journal to note any particular points, phrases, flashes of insight or revelation that you suddenly get. I started doing this about 7 years ago, and was amazed how this has developed. Really interesting to re-read the points and find yourself growing, and being led to ponder more deeply. and gaining greater understanding.
Listening to a good actor reading through the New Testament also illuminates particular passages ( Find the early readings by Max Mclean’s especially helpful)
