I am a single mother, with a teenage son. I have a very difficult all-consuming job to unwind and help me sleep and I guess to escape the loneliness I have been drinking too much wine, sometimes every night. I feel as though I’m in a cycle that is difficult to stop. I need to conquer this, and can only do it with God and need your prayers thank you so much.

Dear J,
Temptations can be little demons we all face daily.
May you yearn to learn and copy those who have successfully conquered hurtful habits. God will alwyas help you. It takes a day to start a habit and 90 days to break one.
Mark 11:24 says….”Therefore I tell you, everything you pray and ask for – believe that you have received it and it will be yours.”
Philippians 4:13 says….” I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me,”
You can do this….and then it will be done…. so that you can help others.

Lord, please provide the comfort and support that this woman needs. Show her that she is loved and cared for by you. Help her to find support outside of alcohol. Wrap your living arms around her and give her the peace only you can give.
We know that all things are possible with you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Our Father that is in heaven, I pray tonight for this lady. Please guide her towards places where she can find peace with loving and caring people that will understand her loneliness and the difficulties she is going through raising a teenage son on her own while having to cope with her demanding job. May Your love and grace give her peace!

Dear God please send this lady some friends – a neighbour, exercise class, church home group, something to give her company and help with her loneliness. Please come close to her and her son and give them love and strength and let her know you are there helping her. Thank you Lord God. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
