I’m a single mum for the last 8yrs. Long story short, divorced had two kids in the marriage aged 8 and 9. My ex husband has not only abandoned his responsibilities and kids, but has revoked any financial contribution as well. Above all, he has left me with debt he created and I am financially ruined. I’m tired; I work two jobs and I need to be financially sound in order to secure a bright future for the girls. I have a deep desire to leave SA and emigrate, but I feel trapped with this financial battle.

Melissa, my heart aches for you. You are in a very hard place and it seems that only God can heal the impact of all that you have been through.
I commend to you God’s promises:
4 Sing to God, 5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling. (Psa 68:4-5) and
9 The LORD watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but He frustrates the ways of the wicked. (Psa 146:9)
I pray that you will be able to praise God and trust Him as you consider these promises. He is the only one who can really help in your situation, and as He does you will get to know His love and power like never before.
I pray that you will be enabled to praise Him, in faith that He loves you and that He has you and your daughters, in the palm of His Hand.

These words of a song just came to mind . Look ever to Jesus , He will carry you through . Ask the Saviour to help you comfort , strengthen and keep you . He is willing to aid you , He will carry you through. I pray for you in your situation at this serious demanding time in your life; that God will draw you near, to believe in His Son Jesus Christ. Amen 🙏 .
