Good morning. I listen to CCFM every day and I thank you for your program that helps me daily in my walk with our Lord. He is in my life, I feel and talk to Him all day and He is what keeps me going.
Commong from an abused childhood, I was an alcoholic. I know that my Lord has delivered me from that in the last year now. My problem now is that I desperately want to give up smoking as it is hampering my life. At the same time I do not because when I get upset I revert back to my comfort zone.
Something is hampering this walk that I am on. How can I walk as a believer with a cigerette in my hand. Sometimes I seem to hear ” In My Time”, but I am confused about this as I just do not know how long I have to wait.
I live alone and walk a lonely journey and my only true love is the Lord. I pray about this and I ask for your prayers and trust that I will change. May our Lord bless vou.

Now, God is leading me to pray for you using 2 Corinthians 12:8-10.
Concerning this smoking issue, you’ve pleaded with the Lord numerous times that it might leave you; that it may depart from you completely! Here is what God is saying to you today, “My grace is sufficient for YOU! My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough for YOU — always available —regardless of the situation; for My power is made perfect in your weakness.” Do not focus on your smoking problem. Focus on God and what God can do about the situation. Focus on God’s GRACE that is available and sufficient for you – ALWAYS! Because when we are weak [in our human weakness], that’s when we are actually STRONG (the bible says) – truly able, truly powerful, truly leaning on God’s strength and GRACE. You can overcome smoking. You absolutely can. You are a conqueror – more than a conqueror, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
