Urgent need of a job

Added 4 years ago

I have been unemployed for the past six months due to the covid19 pandemic, our office had provided work from home to only selected employees which I wasn’t a part of. Can you please pray for me that our Lord will provide a job that is suitable for me to work online. Thank you very much.

In Christ.

Hi M,

I got this Bible verse for you.

Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

There is a story about a king and his servant who was well trusted by the court. The servant is a believer and is always assuring himself that God has a purpose for everything. There was a time that the king went hunting. However, the lion he was supposed to kill got too near him and was able to bite one of his fingers off before it was subdued and put to death. The servant assured the king that it was a favor from God. In disbelief, the king dismissed his comments. One day, the servant was suspected of a wrong doing and got thrown in jail. He languished in there for quite a time but never lost hope. The king once again went hunting. This time however, a tribe of cannibals saw their group, hunted and killed the king’s guards and captured the king. While preparing the king to be eaten, the cannibals saw that he was missing a finger. Because of their superstitious belief that it is a bad omen, they let the king go free. The king, upon returning to his kingdom, found out the truth that the servant had nothing to do with the court’s mismanagement and set him free. But not before curiously asking about why the servant still thinks God has a plan for him considering the suffering he went through despite his innocence. The servant replied, “Had I not been in prison, I would have been with you and would have been slain by the cannibals. Also, had the lion not bitten off one of your fingers, the cannibals would not have set you free.”

In essence, we do not know what is in store for us in life. God requires only that we have faith in Him and not worry about tomorrow.

If you do not do this already, I strongly encourage you to do these. Pray regularly, Arm yourself against the devil by reading the word of God (Bible), Do fellowship with believers on a regular basis (Church), Be a witness by letting others know how God has blessed you. Preach to others that they may know the good news that is Jesus Christ, the Saviour of mankind.
