I care for my ex-husband who is an amputee and Diabetic. He runs a business from his bed. I work as his carer and in his shop about 60 hours a week but don’t take a pay. The business is getting further and further into debt but he tells me I’m a pessimist. I feel I’m enabling him to continue but find it impossible to walk away. His creditors have judgement against him but don’t take matters any further because they know he has nothing to take.

Dear Child of God, I stand with you in your prayers and empathise with your situation. Lord, thank You for S’ heart of compassion in trying to help her ex-husband by being his carer and working in his shop. Father God, my heart is saddened to think of her doing these roles without pay and I lift this to You. I pray that he will acknowledge the work that S puts in at the shop and listen to her. I pray that the scales will be taken from his eyes and he will face up to the truth of his situation. I pray that he will be honest before You and S and acknowledge that this business of his has run its course and must cease to trade and the dissolved company must try to pay its creditors. Lord, I pray You will minister into any fear that this may put into his heart and dissolve it away. Lord, will You give him wisdom in this situation. It’s always hard to wind up a business when your whole life has orbited around it. I pray that You will show him Your plan for his life. You are the Provider and I pray that he will put his trust in You. You tell us in your Word that our businesses need to be honest and truthful. Lord, be especially close to S and give her the courage to take a stand in this matter. Thank You for her caring and support of her ex-husband.. I pray that she feels Your loving arms around her. Will You bring her closer to You, Lord. May she know Your assurance that she is in the palm of Your hand and You will never let go of her. Sometimes we need to trust You just that little bit more and stand back and watch You fight for us and win our battles. You are such an awesome God and nothing is too difficult for You. As S seeks You regarding these matters I pray that she will know Your peace and feel Your love wrapping around her. May she praise You with all her heart and know that you inhabit the praises of Your people. I pray that they will both seek Your will and Your kingdoms above all else for the coming times and live righteously and You will give them all they need. Amen.

I pray that you have ears to listen God’s will.
I pray that if the situation of staying in is costing you your peace you get the way to come out of it!
I pray that you believe that even though you may not be physciall;y present for your people you care all the time but you can always lift them in God’s care through your prayers.
I pray that you find peace in your decision.

Lord God you are a faithful father. I ask that you will give S Godly wisdom in supporting her ex husband in his business. Guide her in supporting him and not enabling him. May she know the difference. Give S your strength and resolve to make the right decisions in helping him decide when to quit the business. It’s not your will for us to be bad financial stewards. Give S the courage to convey that in a kindly way to her ex husband.
