I was married for 35 years when my husband admitted to being a porn and sex addict for over 50 years and having cheated throughout our marriage. He’s a pathological liar and he is abusive. I divorced him but it’s still really difficult. Some days I do fine and some days I cry all the time. I just found out he was searching out new girlfriend the month before he moved out of our house 3 months ago, and now they are an official couple. I know he has not been honest with her as to why I divorced him. He is honestly the most evil person I have ever met. It’s just so hard!

Father, this situation is SO hard for us. But I know You have the solution to every problem. We CRY out to You for HELP, for MERCY, for GRACE, for HEALING, for RESTORATION, for SALVATION, for the POWER to overcome sin and choose a full and whole life found in Christ alone! Your Word says You heal the broken-hearted and bind up their wounds. I ask You to do it for this Your beloved daughter. Let her experience inner healing and the lasting intimate love You have for her, and may this story bring great glory to Your name today and forever! Amen.

I am praying for you.
Divorce is an excruciating experience, no matter the cause, and your circumstances are probably one of the most painful.
I pray that God will heal you of all the many hurts that you have experienced over 35 years.
Only God knows the extent of your hurt and pain, and only God can heal those very deep wounds.
But I believe He is the ultimate healer and that nothing is impossible with God. Though it may not be quick.
I pray that you are enabled, with God’s help to forgive your husband, this may be slow and you cannot do it all at once, but it is one of the keys to deep healing.
Jesus died to forgive him and even if he doesn’t care, Jesus can enable you to forgive and to heal, cleanse and empty you of the poison of all you have been through.
I suggest you spend time, every day, reading God’s Word, praying that He will speak to you and enable you to forgive and to be healed.
I suggest you get a blank book and a pen to write down what God is reminding you of, then pray that the Holy Spirit will enable you to praise God for His promises and to act on what you have read.
This may sound like a big challenge, but this is one of the ways God teaches us and enables us to take hold of His healing love and the many blessings which Jesus died to pour out on us.
Praise God for every new lesson you learn and every time you are able to forgive your husband just a little more, because he is a very broken person and you are to be totally healed of your woundedness.
We have a great God who loves us, praise Him!!!
