Struggle Making Friends

Added 5 months ago

I’ve struggled to make friends for a long time I’ve spent so much time in church yet I still find friendships judgemental and comparing always it’s exhausting often and I am trying to come off social media more because it’s not where my relationship with God started yet it more than ever becoming the norm thanks.

May the Lord lead you to some volunteer work you can do, this is so scriptural and will afford you everything you need. May joy and peace be released in you, in Jesus name.

R

G’day R,
Please consider doing “Alpha” at a church in your vicinity; but ONLY if they include the Holy Spirit weekend.
(Contact Alpha.org.uk to find locations.)

It is not so much for you to receive ‘teaching’, but for you to be part of a group of people who are growing in the only true fellowship bond: the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit.
You can only have fellowship with ‘like-minded’ people, with those that have received ‘the love of the truth’.
(“Can two walk together unless they are agreed?” “What fellowship does light have with darkness?”)

YOU will not be judged, and hopefully you will not be judging them.

Before you embark on this, however, tell the Lord that the whole reason that you will be doing it is to cultivate true friendships and fellowship.
Tell Him that you will be TRUSTING and BELIEVING Him to bring this about, (and then THANK Him for doing it!)
AND ask Him, in the process, to make whatever changes in YOU that He wants to make/need to be made(!)
(If you’re not up for change, big change, then you’ve chosen the wrong ‘god’ to follow).

The Lord Jesus loves you R, and if your heartfelt desire is to be part of His “Church”, His “Body”, then He will lovingly shepherd you into the ‘fold’.
-Let Him do it.
